Violence and Alcohol in Graphs

Does alcohol cause violence? Let’s take a look at the data. If alcohol does in fact cause violence we would expect to see more violence in countries that consume more alcohol. We would expect to see a graph of alcohol consumption against murder rate look like this:

This is what we would expect if alcohol causes violence

Here is the data:

Alcohol Consumption (Vertical) Vs Murder Rate (Horizontal) — all countries over 10 million population
Alcohol Consumption (Vertical) Vs Murder Rate (Horizontal) — European Countries Over 10 million population

And the data for alcohol consumption vs traffic fatality rate:
